Industrial Gate City Home Industrial Gate City
In the light of Saudi Arabia’s strategy to enhance the private sectors participation in the development of industrial zones, the development of the industrial sector is one of the strategic options of economic development. The Industrial Gate City has headed strategic alliances of real estate investors. The Industrial Gate City developed 6.5 Million m2 in the south of Riyadh at the junction of the old Kharj road with the new Kharj road and has prepared this area for industrial purposes according to the Industrial & Technology Zones Authority. The Industrial Gate City has made available land pieces for industrial purposes such as storage warehouses, malls, residential land pieces and general services areas equipped with high quality infrastructure according to international standards. These are supported by new facilities including electrical power, water supply, sewage and the construction of water treatment plants. The investment in this infrastructure is also served by a network of main and access roads to facilitate the convenience of moving through the city in order to become the standard benchmark for all industrial cities initiated by others. The Industrial Gate City, by the execution of this great vision, is providing a one stop location for all commercial and industrial projects that need to incorporate all services and component of investment in to this sector. The setting up of the Industrial Gate City supervising bodies is aimed to create integrated locations and services to help provide a complete environment. The City has been designed in co-operation with specialized companies in industrial zone planning, complying with international designs which incorporate all the required elements for the foundation of an integrated industrial zone. Industrial Gate City consists of four main zones, each of these districts has individual gateways and are linked to each other by a networks of main and side roads as follows:

Industrial Zones : 2.960.000 m2 area equal to 45% of the total area which has been dedicated to heavy and light industries as it has been divided into various areas starting with 500m2 up to 200.000m2 for a single factory. This will meet the needs and requirements of these industries.
   
Warehouse Zone : with 729.000 m2 area which represents 11% of total area of zone with land pieces that ranged from 4000 m2 to 64.000 for the warehouses in addition to full control of zone monitoring. In particular entering and exiting and providing waiting areas for trucks.
   
Residential Zone : with 184.500 m2 area representing 3% of project total area which consists of two residential zones divided into land pieces with 400-900 m2 areas in addition to providing general services and utilities such as mosques , schools and gardens.
   
Commercial Zones : with 555.000 m2 representing 85% of project area which are dedicated to multiple and commercial usage such as exhibitions, malls , restaurants , hotels , office buildings etc… through providing areas ranged from 3.500 m2 to12.000 m2 distributed all around the zone.
   
General utilities and services : with an area representing 3% of total area including civil defense centers , passport department , chamber of commerce , mosques and hospitals in order to provide safety security and services to the zone’s residents throughout the day.
   
Main Gates : The city has three main gates, the first gate on the old Kharj road leading to warehouses facilities and residence area, the second gate on the old Kharj road which designed to be the main gate for the city serving all activities and directly connected with the central road, the third gate lies at the end of Al Kharj new road serving the traffic going to and coming from the ring road.
   
Road Network : A comprehensive road network linking different parts of the city through the central Road with 50 meter width, connecting all city divisions and linking the traffic coming from the city to the extension of Al Kharj new road. The internal roads network serving all the inner parts of the city with adequate parking spaces lies both sides
